From a golden flower-star set with oval cabochon lapis lazuli is suspended an elongated teardrop adornment, set at the bottom with freshwater pearl. These gold earrings have the cool of a hoop closure with the seductive drama of a drop earring front.
The rosette of Ishtar is an emblem of the Mesopotamian goddess of beauty, divinity, and fertility. This statement earring’s shape also recalls our designer Olivia’s ongoing preoccupation with star and flower motifs, inspired by the mosaiced ceilings of Istanbul’s mosques and traditional Iznik pottery.
